Travel Gear

Travel Gear

As a digital nomad and scuba instructor I am often on the road. A lightweight and comfortable backpack or a simple suitcase with only the essentials is therefore necessary. Also a scuba gear bag with my dive equipment comes along to my trips, but you can read more about that over here. I do also travel with a lot of electronics to keep this travel blog up to date.

This travel gear list is good for nearly any kind of trip because they are the essentials. Clothes and bag are not the same for each kind of trip, but below you can find most items I always bring to my travel destinations.

Clothing

I do not need an enormous wardrobe, but these clothes make my journey very comfortable.

    • 1 or 2 t-shirts
    • 1 pair of flip-flops
    • 1 pair of sneakers
    • 3 pairs of shorts
    • 1 pair of jeans
    • 5 tank-tops
    • 1 skirt
    • 3 bikinis
    • 1 pair of socks
    • underwear
    • 3 dresses
    • Softshell Jacket

Flash-packer Gear

As a tech-savvy adventurer I prefer to travel with my iPhone, digital HDR camera, laptop and other electronic gear. This way I can share my stories with you while I am on the road.

About Renate Rigters

Ever since I left my home country I felt at home at any other place I went to. I enjoy getting to know more cultures by talking to strangers and hearing their philosophy about life. Speaking with gestures when you can not find a shared language, finding places only the locals go to and learn about their customs and values. Hanging out with local people makes me happy. The experience of every new place is a step out of your comfort zone where I like to wander around until it feels like a second home.
