Woo-hoo! I have been nominated by Linda van Bokhorst of TravelLin for Capture the Colour 2013! Thanks a bunch Linda!

Capture the Colour is a photo blogging challenge launched by Travel Supermarket. The idea is to publish a blog post showcasing five of your favourite travel photographs which best capture the colour of the five categories: red, blue, green, yellow and white.

Red_capture_the_colour_2013

Uluru should be a synonym for the word Red! I visited this natural church of the Aboriginals in 2012 and was amazed that so many people want to climb this huge rock. Actually the rock represents a religion, so I think you should not climb this beautiful big red miracle.

blue_capture_the_colour_2013

When I visited Tarifa in 2010 I noticed this blue Moroccan boat, which lies deserted on the beach, where the Moroccans tried to enter Spain by sea. I figured that this boat represents the power of the sea and therefor the color blue.

Green_capture_the_colour_2013

Can you imagine having to mow the grass on the roof of your house? In 2013 I made this photo in Norway where a lot of areas are very green!

Yellow_capture_the_colour_2013

This pretty señorita with her outstanding yellow skirt is dancing the traditional Oaxacan dance in Huatulco. She represents the sun with her stunning yellow skirt, yellow braids, and of course nice smile. I lived in Huatulco for 3 months in 2012, enjoying everything the Mexican cultures has to offer.

white_capture_the_colour_2013

White Austrian snow, white mountains of Tirol and white clouds in the sky. White, whiter and whitest! I took this photo in 2010 at the glacier of Tirol which gave me the feeling of a real fun white winter wonderland.

Of course I will nominate 5 fellow bloggers to take part!
I nominate:

I am looking forward to seeing your photos. Goodluck guys!

About Renate Rigters

Ever since I left my home country I felt at home at any other place I went to. I enjoy getting to know more cultures by talking to strangers and hearing their philosophy about life. Speaking with gestures when you can not find a shared language, finding places only the locals go to and learn about their customs and values. Hanging out with local people makes me happy. The experience of every new place is a step out of your comfort zone where I like to wander around until it feels like a second home.
