Mindset in the mirror
Think happy. Be happy.
Thoughts.
Sometimes my head does so much overtime work that I need to put everything back in place. Back in proportion. Now and then fortunately I am able to do so.
Reflection.
I share my travel stories a lot and a mindset voyage now and then. Sometimes I need my mirror and wish to look into it. The past and the present is what’s in there and I can see how I’m doing.
Emotions.
Am I reaching for the sky? I’m not quite sure what that is. Can you feel happy and after a couple of minutes believe that you’re not happy at all? Sometimes I know exactly what I want and there are times when I have no clue at all what it is I desire. It seems I have a natural restlessness, which I don’t understand. I try to analyze my thoughts and sometimes figure it has got to do with previous experiences. Things you experience in life make you as you are today. Some pain of the past remains, but it changes its color. Why do I feel like this? And, sometimes I don’t even really know how I’m feeling. All I know is that I have a big bundle of emotions and an indomitable urge to explore the world. However, it doesn’t matter if we get confused about our own feelings, as long as we can think happy. Follow the heart and do what you like to do.
Everything is fine and all the rest will be just perfect.
Sometimes I can be so hard on myself. In many ways. I need to remember to celebrate things like achievements and not continue the running but take a break and get my pace down for a minute. I realize I am actually doing pretty well. Step by step I need to learn to take it easy. Especially in my head. Give all the thinking a break. I just need to follow my arrow, wherever it points. Enjoying every single moment.
“What day is it,?” asked Pooh. “It’s today,” squeaked Piglet. “My favorite day,” said Pooh — A.A. Milne
How do you feel today?
About Renate Rigters
Ever since I left my home country I felt at home at any other place I went to. I enjoy getting to know more cultures by talking to strangers and hearing their philosophy about life. Speaking with gestures when you can not find a shared language, finding places only the locals go to and learn about their customs and values. Hanging out with local people makes me happy. The experience of every new place is a step out of your comfort zone where I like to wander around until it feels like a second home.
