A visit to Bonito in Brazil can get you a pretty high bill, since there are so many nice things to visit and they aren’t the cheapest ones either. However, you can please your bank account by staying at a nice hostel with free breakfast.

The Breakfast

Catarino’s Guesthouse is pretty well known for the great breakfast they serve every-single-day. Imagine a bakery providing all you wish. Many kinds of sweet and salty breads and cakes are waiting for you in the morning, while the cleaning ladies make sure the flies are not eating it before you will. Fruits, juices, you name it, they’ve got it.

Budget rooms

The rooms are just fine for us budget backpackers. You have a fan, a comfy mattress and pillow and a shared bathroom in the hall. You can get your own room for the same price you’d pay for a dorm at a hostel. Super!

The communal area of Catarino’s is very cozy. You can sit in the garden or at the picknick table near the reception and hang out with the other travelers. They show the football matches on T.V. if you want to follow your team during your holidays and it’s easy to organize a tour if you’re ready to explore Bonito.

Catarino can organize any tour you like and they will always pick you up in front of the accommodation.

If you are taking a transfer from Campo Grande to Bonito you’re shuttle bus will most likely stop at Catarino’s Guesthouse to see if you need a place to stay. Pretty easy right!

About Renate Rigters

Ever since I left my home country I felt at home at any other place I went to. I enjoy getting to know more cultures by talking to strangers and hearing their philosophy about life. Speaking with gestures when you can not find a shared language, finding places only the locals go to and learn about their customs and values. Hanging out with local people makes me happy. The experience of every new place is a step out of your comfort zone where I like to wander around until it feels like a second home.
