When you travel to a place far, far away you always want to bring something special with you, you know, for back home. Can you imagine traveling, like, for ever, and always wanting to bring local things with you?

So yes, I spend a lot of time at the local markets. Everywhere.

After every journey I make I end up bringing many souvenirs and every time I have a nice bracelet, that cannot be found in the shops back home, all my friends get jealous of my new possession. That’s why I’ve decided to keep on bringing these lovely local products with me, but now I’ll bring a couple more than just one for myself and the crew back home.

I’m selling these precious local wanna-haves online and you can have a look for yourself right here to see the products from my current journey. I’m not planning on bringing many of the same kind of thing so that these products remain unique, but if you send me an e-mail to info@thatwanderlust on time with the name of the item then you might just become one of the few that will own it!

Just to give you an example. Lately I’ve been around Cusco, Peru, and I fell in love with this bracelet:

About Renate Rigters

Ever since I left my home country I felt at home at any other place I went to. I enjoy getting to know more cultures by talking to strangers and hearing their philosophy about life. Speaking with gestures when you can not find a shared language, finding places only the locals go to and learn about their customs and values. Hanging out with local people makes me happy. The experience of every new place is a step out of your comfort zone where I like to wander around until it feels like a second home.
