GLOW: in search of light in these dark days

Catharina_church_GLOW_2013

Ever been to Eindhoven and to GLOW? Now that our Dutch clock has been set back one hour I can use a bit of light in these darker days.

GLOW starts today and it is an event in Eindhoven that surrounds the entire city with design and art, but especially with light. The organization has made a walking route so that you can see all the exhibitions of light and it is for free. It is the Netherlands, so of course this has to be for free! Though if you really want to, you can go with a guided group which will cost you a bit.

What I personally love is the idea of photography guiding tours. A pro will explain how to work with the light and the settings on your photo camera.

You can enjoy the light and of course a “glow-wine” from 9 – 16 November 2013.

About Renate Rigters

Ever since I left my home country I felt at home at any other place I went to. I enjoy getting to know more cultures by talking to strangers and hearing their philosophy about life. Speaking with gestures when you can not find a shared language, finding places only the locals go to and learn about their customs and values. Hanging out with local people makes me happy. The experience of every new place is a step out of your comfort zone where I like to wander around until it feels like a second home.

Wat leuk! Dit lijkt op La Fête des Lumières in Lyon, ben ik vorig jaar geweest en was echt super mooi! http://www.fetedeslumieres.lyon.fr/
