Baby Sea Turtle release in Puerto Escondido


The cutest thing I’ve seen so far – that’s the feeling these guys gave me when they started blinking their big black eyes while moving their bodies in the rhythm of the ocean. It’s for sure that they’ll all be good swimmers, even while they have a pretty awful sounding one percent survival rate. Cute little sea turtles – we got a chance to help them make it. more!

Öland and its many cool surprises


It’s weekend and that means I get to do some sightseeing with my boyfriend’s family. Today we’re driving up to Kalmar to cross the bridge to the island called Öland. That is if the weather allows us to do so. We tried yesterday, but it was way to foggy in the entire area. Today it seems like it might be a great day for seeing some beautiful landscapes and taking pictures out on this island in the Baltic Sea. It’s cloudy and the wind is blowing, but the sun is peeking through the clouds. more!

The secret canyon of Chiapas

canyon_sumidero_chiapas_mexicoI am in San Cristóbal de las Casas. A somewhat hippie town in the Mexican state of Chiapas with many churches, colorful streets, delicious sweets, coffee and beautiful nearby surroundings. One of those sightseeing hotspots is the narrow and deep Sumidero Canyon.

An one hour drive from the centre of San Cristóbal brings me to the canyon. I cannot see the actual canyon yet as I arrive, I only see a river with a colorful painted boat showing images of crocodiles. The boat people tell us we have to wear a life-vest. Arghh… How I find these things annoying! Well, alright, just for this once and I mean, it will be worth it of course! more!
