It took us a year to finally find the right place for our Divemaster course. We were in search for an instructor who would be willing to teach and show us everything on how to become a pro. We ended up in la isla bonita – really named Isla Mujeres in Mexico. To hike the Kali Limni has been on my to do-list for the last 2 summers. Kali Limni is the highest peak of the Greek island Karpathos and actually of the entire Dodecanese. I feel like I can not leave this Greek island again without having been on its highest and best view-point. My work on Karpathos for the summer is coming to an end soon. Going to Vrougoúnda was something I had wanted to do all summer. I heard so many stories about this place, that it had gained my curiosity. Perhaps the beach was really as spectacular as I’d heard, but most of all it was the feeling I wanted to get – the feeling of being somewhere far, far away from everything.

Before we settled in for the long haul flight to Mexico’s Cancun I Googled about the natural phenomenon that stole my attention a few years ago. I was never close enough to the area of cenotes to reach them, but this time my boyfriend and I were going to spend some time in Tulum. Once upon a time there were three young ladies, who all had the same job on a small island in the Aegean Sea. It is quit early in the morning when I wake up. I bought some thermos underwear for today’s activity and I had worn my hiking boots before so that they would not hurt my feet today.
